Applying to SUNY Potsdam's Graduate Programs

We believe that applying for graduate school shouldn't be complicated. To be officially considered for admission, you will need to submit the following:
    • A completed application.
    • Three letters of recommendation from academic/professional references.
Please note that our Management, Music and Certificate of Advance Study programs require two professional references, which can be from either academic or professional references that can attest to your ability to complete graduate level coursework.

You will also have the opportunity to upload the following information into your application or your applicant portal page:

    • All collegiate transcripts
    • Resume or CV (Curriculum Vitae)
    • GRE test scores (only applicable to some programs of study)
    • TOEFL or IELTS test scores (if applicable for international students)
    • Application fee of $50 (waived if you are an alumni of SUNY Potsdam, active military/veteran/dependent)
    • Letter of intent (required for all of programs) expressing professional goals and how the program fits those goals. Specific attention must be given to program guidelines. The document should be no greater than three pages.
For full consideration, graduate applications must be completed at least three business days before the start of the semester.
